Hello, and welcome to deadamerica.co.uk. My name is Thomas, but my friends call me T-Bone, for whatever reason, even I don't know why. I've spent my entire adult life playing in various bands trying hard to make my mark on the world, but it never happened. I've had great fun over the years and played with some excellent musicians and played some great shows in fantastic venues, but there was always a HUGE downside to it all, quite simply, other musicians. As a rule, musicians are generally speaking, total muppets with an over-inflated sence of their own egos. I'm not suggesting for a minute that I'm an exception to that rule, I actually probably epitomised it for a long time, but now that I've settled my life down, married, with a family and all, I can now see what I never could before. Its not about people, its about music.

Dead America is my own little musical project. Having been introduced to the joys of home recording by my friend Tommy McNally (and you'll probably hear a lot of him on here if he gets the finger out) I decided that it would be great fun to start something up without any preconceived ideas about genre or any set limitiations. My intention is to collaborate with as many musicians from all over the world as is humanly possible and have as much fun as I can in the process.

Everyone that gets involved will be added to the links page on this site, and I'll also be adding in a few links to make people aware of the sites that have helped me throughout my whole, home recording experience. Sites and communities such as mp3unsigned.com can make your music known to a wider audience and allow people to give you feedback on your tracks, although sometimes, it does seem to be pointless ego-massaging in the hope that you'll be equally as nice in a return comment. Anyway, I digress.

Within this site, there will be an ever-growing collection of musical experiments and completed songs. I am mostly influenced in music by a variety of rock acts, such as Alice in Chains, Motley Crue, Pantera, Sixx AM, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Stone Temple Pilots not to mention acts such as Primus, Suicidal Tendencies, Infectious Grooves and the Red Hot CHili Peppers. Hopefully, as it develops, this site will contain something for everyone to listen to and enjoy. Also, at some point, I intend to make some videos, whether they be music videos or not remains to be decided.

So, thanks for reading this, thanks for your time, and hopefully, you'll enjoy the contents of this site enough to get in touch and share your thoughts. It would also be great to hear criticism, constructive of course, and I am always open to offers of collaboration.

Enjoy

T-Bone
